Musnad Ahmad 195 (Book 2, Hadith 112) #33887
Remembering the Prophet in Supplication

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) asked Umar to remember him in his supplications and prayers.

It was narrated from 'Umar that he asked the Prophet for permission to do 'Umrah and he gave him permission and said: 'O my brother, do not forget us in your supplication'. And he said later in Madinah: 'O my brother, include us in your supplication'. ʼUmar said: I would not like to have instead of that everything on which the sun rises, because of him saying: 'O my brother".

It also shows us how much he cared for his companions, as he asked them to remember him even when they were far away from him. This hadith teaches us that we should never forget those who have done good for us, no matter how far away they may be.
