QUICK LESSONS:
Perform Tayammum when unable to use water for any reason
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about purifying oneself before prayer. It is narrated by 'Abdur Rahman bin Abza that while he was in the company of 'Umar, 'Ammar said to him that they were in a detachment and became Junub, so he blew the dust off his hands and performed rolling over the earth as an act of purification before praying. This hadith teaches us that it is important to be clean when we pray, as it is one of Allah's commands for us to do so. We can perform Tayammum if we are unable to use water for any reason; this involves blowing off dust from our hands then rubbing them on our face or other parts of our body. By doing this, we are able to fulfill Allah's commandment even if we cannot use water at that time.
