The Glad Tidings of Good Deeds

SUMMARY: Doing good deeds for the sake of Allah will bring immediate glad tidings to the believer.

It was narrated from Abu Dharr: "I said to the Prophet : '(What do you say about when) a man does a deed for the sake of Allah, and people love him for it?’ He said: 'That is the immediate glad tidings of the believer.’"
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ ـ قَالَ قُلْتُ لَهُ ‏:‏ الرَّجُلُ يَعْمَلُ الْعَمَلَ لِلَّهِ فَيُحِبُّهُ النَّاسُ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ ‏:‏ ‏ "‏ ذَلِكَ عَاجِلُ بُشْرَى الْمُؤْمِنِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about doing good deeds for the sake of Allah and how it brings immediate glad tidings to believers. It was narrated by Abu Dharr, who asked Prophet Muhammad what he said about a man who does a deed for Allah and people love him for it. The Prophet replied that this is the immediate glad tidings of the believer. This hadith teaches us that when we do something good, we should not be motivated by what other people think or say but rather by our faith in Allah and His teachings. We should strive to do our best in all aspects of life, whether it be in our work or relationships with others, so that we can receive these blessings from Allah. Doing good deeds will also bring us closer to Him and make us more beloved in His sight.
