Sunan Ibn Majah 4037 (Book 36, Hadith 112) #33392
The Inevitability of Calamity

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the inevitability of calamity in this world and how people will wish to be in the place of those who have passed away due to it.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said: "By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, this world will not pass away until a man will pass by a grave, and will roll on it and say: 'Would that I were in the place of the occupant of this grave!’ And the reason for that will not be any religious motive, rather it will be because of calamity".
