The Power of Righteousness and Supplication

SUMMARY: Doing good deeds and praying can increase one's life span, while committing sins can lead to a decrease in provision.

It was narrated from Thawban that the Messenger of Allah said: "Nothing increases one’s life span except righteousness and nothing repels the Divine decree except supplication, and a man may be deprived of provision by a sin that he commits.’"
