Sahih al-Bukhari 3488 (Book 60, Hadith 154) #3332
Condemnation of False Hair

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) condemned the use of false hair and named it 'Az-Zur' (ie falsehood).

Narrated Sa'id bin Al-Musaiyab: When Muawiya bin Abu Sufyan came to Medina for the last time, he delivered a sermon before us. He took out a tuft of hair and said, "I never thought that someone other than the Jews would do such a thing (ie use false hair). The Prophet named such a practice, 'Az-Zur' (ie falsehood)," meaning the use of false hair.

QUICK LESSONS:
Do not use false hair

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's condemnation of false hair. He was speaking to a group of people in Medina when Muawiya bin Abu Sufyan took out a tuft of hair and said that he never thought someone other than the Jews would do such a thing. The Prophet then named this practice 'Az-Zur', which means falsehood. This hadith teaches us that we should not use false hair as it is considered to be wrong and deceptive. We should also strive to be honest in all our dealings with others so that we can maintain trustworthiness and integrity in our relationships with them.
