The Power of Shame

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) taught that people should be ashamed of doing wrong and not do anything they are not proud of.

Narrated Abu Masud 'Uqba: The Prophet said, "One of the sayings of the prophets which the people have got, is'.If you do not feel ashamed, then do whatever you like".

QUICK LESSONS:
Be mindful and aware about your actions
EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) taught us an important lesson about the power of shame. He said that one of the sayings from the prophets is “If you do not feel ashamed, then do whatever you like”. This means that we should always be aware and conscious about our actions and think twice before doing something wrong or something we are not proud of. We should have a sense of modesty or shyness when it comes to our behavior so that we can stay away from sinning or transgressing against Allah’s commands. This hadith teaches us to be mindful and aware about our actions so that we can stay away from any wrongdoing in order to please Allah SWT.
