The Rewards of Seeking Forgiveness

SUMMARY: Seeking forgiveness is a good deed that will bring glad tidings.

'Abdullah bin Busr said that : the Prophet (SAWS) said: "Glad tidings to those who find a lot of seeking forgiveness in the record of their deeds".
حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ كَثِيرِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عِرْقٍ، سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ بُسْرٍ، يَقُولُ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ـ ـ ‏ "‏ طُوبَى لِمَنْ وَجَدَ فِي صَحِيفَتِهِ اسْتِغْفَارًا كَثِيرًا

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the importance of seeking forgiveness from Allah. It encourages us to ask for forgiveness and repent for our sins, as this will bring us glad tidings in the hereafter. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that if we seek forgiveness often, it will be recorded in our book of deeds and we will be rewarded for it on the Day of Judgment. We should strive to make seeking forgiveness a part of our daily routine so that we can reap its rewards in the hereafter.
