The Importance of Timing in Animal Slaughter

SUMMARY: A man slaughtered an animal before the Eid prayer and was asked to do it again by the Prophet.

It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that a man slaughtered on the Day of Sacrifice, (meaning) before the 'Eid prayer, and the Prophet ordered him to do it again.
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، ذَبَحَ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ قَبْلَ الصَّلاَةِ فَأَمَرَهُ النَّبِيُّ ـ ـ أَنْ يُعِيدَ
