Sunan Ibn Majah 3126 (Book 26, Hadith 7) #32480
The Value of Sacrificing Animals

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ taught that sacrificing an animal on the Day of Sacrifice is a deed that is highly valued by Allah and its blood is accepted before it reaches the ground.

It was narrated from ’Aishah that the Prophet said: "The son of Adam does not do any deed on the Day of Sacrifice that is dearer to Allah than shedding blood. It will come on the Day of Resurrection with its horns and cloven hoofs and hair. Its blood is accepted by Allah before it reaches the ground. So be content when you do it".

QUICK LESSONS:
Sacrifice animals on the Day of Sacrifice as a sign of gratitude towards God

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us about the value and importance of sacrificing animals on the Day of Sacrifice. It was narrated from Aishah, one of Prophet Muhammad's wives, that he said that no deed done on this day is dearer to Allah than shedding blood. This means that when we sacrifice an animal, its blood will be accepted by Allah even before it reaches the ground. We should be content with this knowledge and take comfort in knowing our deeds are being accepted by Allah.
