Sunan Ibn Majah 3050 (Book 25, Hadith 169) #32404
No Harm in That

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) was asked questions on the Day of Mina and he answered that there is no harm in whatever the person did.

It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said: "The Messenger of Allah was asked on the Day of Mina, and he would say: 'There is no harm in that, there is no harm in that.’ A man came to him and said: 'I shaved my head before I slaughtered (my sacrifice),’ and he said: 'There is no harm in that.’ He said: 'I stoned (the Pillar) after evening came,’ and he said: 'There is no harm in that.’"

QUICK LESSONS:
Try your best to do what is right according to Islamic teachings with purity of intentions

EXPLANATIONS:
On the Day of Mina during Hajj pilgrimage, a man came to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and asked if it was okay to shave his head before sacrificing an animal. The Prophet ﷺ replied that there is no harm in that. He then asked if it was okay to stone the pillar after evening had come and again the Prophet ﷺ said there is no harm in that. This hadith teaches us that we should not be too hard on ourselves when making mistakes or doing something out of order as long as our intentions are pure and we are trying our best to do what is right according to Islamic teachings. We should also remember not to judge others for their mistakes but instead offer them guidance with kindness and understanding.
