Sahih al-Bukhari 3380 (Book 60, Hadith 54) #3232
Entering Houses of Unjust People

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) warned against entering the house of those who were unjust to themselves, and advised to enter it only while weeping in order to avoid suffering the same punishment.

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar: When the Prophet passed by (a place called) Al Hijr, he said, "Do not enter the house of those who were unjust to themselves, unless (you enter) weeping, lest you should suffer the same punishment as was inflicted upon them". After that he covered his face with his sheet cloth while he was on the camel-saddle.

QUICK LESSONS:
Enter with caution & weeping when passing by places where injustice has been done .

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was passing by a place called Al Hijr when he gave a warning about entering the houses of those who had been unjust to themselves. He said that if one enters such a house, they should do so while weeping in order to avoid suffering the same punishment as was inflicted upon them. He then covered his face with his sheet cloth while he was on the camel-saddle, showing how serious this warning is and how important it is for us to take heed of it. This hadith teaches us that we should be careful not to enter places where injustice has been done, as we may suffer similar consequences if we do not show remorse for their actions or express sorrow for what happened there. It also teaches us that even though justice must be served, mercy should still be shown towards those who have wronged others and that we should always strive for peace and harmony in our lives.
