Avoiding Legal Punishments in the Mosque

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) advised against carrying out legal punishments in the mosque.

It was narrated from Ibn Abbas that the Messenger of Allah said: "Do not carry out the legal punishment in the mosque".
حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَرَفَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَفْصٍ الأَبَّارُ، جَمِيعًا عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ ‏ "‏ لاَ تُقَامُ الْحُدُودُ فِي الْمَسَاجِدِ
