Show mercy towards others even if they have wronged you; Give charity whenever possible; Strive for forgiveness over punishment; Be generous with your possessions; Be kind towards all people regardless of their actions or beliefs.

This hadith is about a man who caught a thief stealing his upper wrap and brought him to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ ordered that his hand be cut off as punishment for theft. However, Safwan chose to forgive him instead and gave away his upper wrap in charity. This hadith teaches us that forgiveness is more important than punishment and that we should always strive to show mercy towards others even if they have wronged us in some way. It also encourages us to give charity whenever possible as it can help those in need while also earning rewards from Allah SWT.
