Fulfill your promises , Abide by agreements , Respect contracts

This hadith discusses the concept of freedom and contracts in Islam. It states that if a slave makes a contract to buy their freedom for one hundred Uqiyah and pays it all except ten Uqiyah, they are still considered slaves. One Uqiyah is equal to 40 Dirhams which was the currency used during the time of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. This hadith teaches us that contracts must be fulfilled in order for them to be valid and binding according to Islamic law. It also teaches us that slavery should not be taken lightly as it is an important matter in Islam which requires full commitment from both parties involved in order for it to be valid. Furthermore, this hadith also serves as an example of how Muslims should abide by their agreements even if they are difficult or inconvenient at times because Allah ï·» will reward those who fulfill their promises with His mercy and blessings on the Day of Judgment.
