The Importance of Not Withholding Surplus Water

SUMMARY: It is important to not withhold surplus water, especially from a well.

It was narrated from Aishah that the Messenger of Allah said: "Surplus water should not be withheld, and neither should surplus water from a well.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ حَارِثَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ لاَ يُمْنَعُ فَضْلُ الْمَاءِ وَلاَ يُمْنَعُ نَقْعُ الْبِئْرِ
