QUICK LESSONS:
Be generous and kind towards others while still being mindful of our own possession
EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, taught that no one should receive something as a lifelong grant. This means that if someone is given something for an extended period of time, it is not considered to be a gift or grant from the giver but rather it belongs to the receiver. This hadith teaches us to not give away our possessions without expecting anything in return and also encourages us to think carefully before giving away our possessions for an extended period of time. It also teaches us the importance of being generous and kind towards others while still being mindful of our own possessions.
