Prohibiting Selling Animals on Credit

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) forbade selling animals for animals on credit.

It was narrated from Samurah bin Jundub that : the Messenger of Allah forbade selling animals for animals on credit.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ ـ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الْحَيَوَانِ بِالْحَيَوَانِ نَسِيئَةً

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the prohibition of selling animals for other animals on credit. This means that when trading, one should not exchange an animal with another animal and pay the difference later.
