The Consequences of Selling Defective Goods

SUMMARY: Selling defective goods without pointing it out is wrong and will lead to the wrath of Allah and the curses of angels.

It was narrated that Wathilah bin Asqa' said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Whoever sells defective goods without pointing it out, he will remain subject to the wrath of Allah, and the angels will continue to curse him'."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ الضَّحَّاكِ، حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ، وَسُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مُوسَى، عَنْ وَاثِلَةَ بْنِ الأَسْقَعِ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ ـ يَقُولُ ‏ "‏ مَنْ بَاعَ عَيْبًا لَمْ يُبَيِّنْهُ لَمْ يَزَلْ فِي مَقْتٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَلَمْ تَزَلِ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ تَلْعَنُهُ
