Cheating is Not Allowed

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught that it is wrong to cheat or deceive others.

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: "The Messenger of Allah passed by a man who was selling food. He put his hand in it and saw that there was something wrong with it. The Messenger of Allah said, 'He is not one of us who cheats"'.
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الْعَلاَءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ ـ بِرَجُلٍ يَبِيِعُ طَعَامًا فَأَدْخَلَ يَدَهُ فِيهِ فَإِذَا هُوَ مَغْشُوشٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ ـ ‏ "‏ لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ غَشَّ
