It was narrated that Qais bin Abu Gharazah said: "At the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ we used to be called brokers, but the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by us and called by a name that was better than that. He said: 'O merchants, selling involves (false) oaths and idle talk, so mix some charity with it"'.
The Prophet Muhammad's advice was not only applicable during his time but also applies today; we should always strive for honesty and generosity when dealing with others, especially those who are less fortunate than ourselves. We can do this by donating a portion of our profits to charitable causes or by helping those who are struggling financially through donations or other forms of assistance. By doing so, we can ensure that everyone has access to the resources they need while also avoiding any dishonest practices such as taking false oaths or engaging in idle talk which could lead to disputes between parties involved in a transaction.
