Observe religious obligations , Strive to fulfill one's duties

This hadith narrates an incident involving the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. It is reported that Nafi asked Umm Salamah about a man who gets up in the morning when he is in a state of sexual impurity and wants to fast. Umm Salamah replied that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to get up in the morning after having intercourse, not from a wet dream, then he would take a bath and complete his fast. This hadith teaches us that it is permissible for someone who has engaged in sexual intercourse to take a bath and continue fasting afterwards.
