QUICK LESSONS:
Have sincere intentions while worshipping God .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of having the right intention when worshipping Allah. It was narrated by Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said that there are people who fast and get nothing from their fast except hunger, and there are those who pray and get nothing from their prayer but a sleepless night. This means that fasting or praying alone is not enough to gain rewards from Allah; one must also have the right intention behind it. If a person does not have sincere intentions when worshipping, then they will not receive any benefit or reward for it in this life or in the hereafter. Therefore, it is important for Muslims to always remember to make sure they have good intentions when performing any act of worship so that they can reap its full benefits both in this world and in the hereafter.
