EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of being mindful and conscious with how we spend our time. It was narrated by Jabir bin 'Abdullah that the mother of Sulaiman bin Dawud said to her son not to sleep too much at night, as it will lead to poverty on the Day of Resurrection. This hadith teaches us that we should be aware and conscious with how we use our time, especially during nighttime when most people are asleep. We should use this time for activities that can benefit us in this life and in the hereafter such as praying, reading Quran or doing good deeds. If we do not use our time wisely, then it can lead us towards poverty in both worlds - this world and the hereafter.
