QUICK LESSONS:
Pray regularly and on time

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith tells us about an event that happened during the year of the conquest when Prophet Muhammad stayed in Makkah for fifteen nights. During this time he shortened his prayers. This is a reminder to us that we should always be mindful of our prayers and make sure to pray regularly and on time. It also teaches us to be patient and humble even in times of success or victory as Prophet Muhammad did not forget to pray despite being victorious at this point in history.

The act of shortening prayers is known as Qasr which means reducing the number of rak'ahs from four to two when travelling or staying somewhere temporarily. This was done by Prophet Muhammad during his stay in Makkah so it serves as an example for us on how we should conduct ourselves while travelling or staying somewhere temporarily.
