Taking a Bath from the Same Vessel

SUMMARY: The Prophet and Maimunah took a bath from the same vessel, which had traces of dough in it.

It was narrated from Umm Hani that : The Prophet and Maimunah took a bath from a single vessel, a large bowl in which they were some traces of dough.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ الأَشْعَرِيُّ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ـ ـ اغْتَسَلَ وَمَيْمُونَةُ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ فِي قَصْعَةٍ فِيهَا أَثَرُ الْعَجِينِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith narrates an incident between the Prophet Muhammad and his wife Maimunah. They both took a bath from one vessel which contained traces of dough. This shows that they were not only comfortable with each other but also shared everything they had without any hesitation or shame. It teaches us to be generous and share whatever we have with others without any prejudice or judgement. It also teaches us to be humble and not be ashamed of our circumstances no matter how small or big they are. Furthermore, it encourages us to maintain cleanliness even when resources are limited as taking a bath is an important part of Islamic hygiene practices.
