EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about a special moment between Prophet Muhammad and his companion, Jabir ibn Abdullah. On a night known as Laylat al-Jamal or ‘The Night of the Camel’, Prophet Muhammad supplicated to Allah for forgiveness for Jabir twenty-five times. This shows us how much love and care Prophet Muhammad had for his companions and how he was always willing to intercede on their behalf with Allah. It also teaches us that we should never give up hope in seeking forgiveness from Allah no matter how many times we have sinned, as He is Most Merciful and will forgive us if we sincerely repent. Furthermore, it encourages us to make du'a or supplications regularly as this is one way in which we can draw closer to our Creator and receive His blessings in our lives.
