The Joy of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was always happy and cheerful when he saw Jarir bin 'Abdullah.

Narrated Jarir bin 'Abdullah: "The Messenger of Allah never screened me since I accepted Islam, nor did he look at me except that he laughed".
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الأَزْدِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ، عَنْ بَيَانٍ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ مَا حَجَبَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ مُنْذُ أَسْلَمْتُ وَلاَ رَآنِي إِلاَّ ضَحِكَ . هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to the joy that the Prophet Muhammad felt when he saw his companion Jarir bin 'Abdullah. After accepting Islam, the Prophet never screened him or looked at him without laughing. This shows us how much love and acceptance the Prophet had for those who accepted Islam and followed his teachings. It also teaches us that we should be kind and welcoming to those who accept our faith as well as show them love and acceptance. We should also strive to be joyful in our interactions with others so that they can feel welcomed into our community.
