QUICK LESSONS:
Include others in your prayer/supplications

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of supplicating to Allah and including others in our prayers. It was narrated by Ibn Umar, who reported that Umar sought permission from the Prophet for an Umrah pilgrimage. The Prophet then said to Umar, “O my little brother, include us in your supplication and do not forget us”. This hadith teaches us that we should always remember those around us when we are making duas or praying for something. We should never forget our family members, friends or even strangers when we are asking Allah for something because it is important to be inclusive in our prayers and duas so that everyone can benefit from them. Furthermore, this hadith also teaches us the importance of being humble as the Prophet referred to himself as “my little brother” which shows his humility towards others despite his high status as a prophet of Allah.
