The Prayer for the Night of Al-Qadr

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us to recite a specific prayer when we know the Night of Al-Qadr is approaching.

Aishah narrated: "I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what is your view if I know when the Night of Al-Qadr is, then what should I say in it?" He said: 'Say: "O Allah, indeed You are Pardoning, Generous, You love pardon, so pardon me (Allahumma innaka 'Afuwwun Karimun, tuḥibbul-'afwa fa'fu 'anni).’"

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith is about the importance of praying during the night of Al-Qadr, which is one of the holiest nights in Islam. It was narrated by Aishah that she asked Prophet Muhammad what should be said if one knows when this night arrives. He replied with a special prayer asking Allah for forgiveness and mercy, as He loves to forgive and pardon His servants. This hadith teaches us that we should take advantage of this blessed night by praying and asking Allah for forgiveness, as it is an opportunity to receive His mercy and blessings. We should also remember that Allah loves those who seek His pardon and mercy, so we must strive to ask Him for it on this special night.
