Remembering our ultimate goal , Fearing Allah , Doing Good Deeds .

This hadith is about how people were uncertain about whether or not there was punishment in the grave until a verse from the Quran was revealed. The verse that was revealed is “the mutual rivalry diverts you” which confirms that there is indeed punishment in the grave. This means that when people are alive, they are so busy competing with each other and trying to outdo one another that they forget to think about what will happen after death and if there will be any consequences for their actions. This hadith teaches us to remember our ultimate goal and purpose in life, which is to please Allah by doing good deeds and avoiding bad ones so we can receive His mercy on Judgment Day.
