Jami at-Tirmidhi 3260 (Book 47, Hadith 312) #28909
Replacing People with Other People

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was reciting a verse from the Quran and his companions asked who would replace them if they turned away. He then pointed to Salman and said that he and his people would replace them.

Narrated Abu Hurairah: "One day, the Messenger of Allah recited this Ayah: 'And if you turn away, He will replace you with other people; then they will not be like you (47:38)'. They said: 'And who will replace us?' So the Messenger of Allah patted the shoulder of Salman, then he said: 'This one and his people, this one and his people'."

QUICK LESSONS:
Stay on Allah's path , Have faith in God’s plan .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of not turning away from Allah's path. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was reciting a verse from the Quran which states that if one turns away, Allah will replace them with other people. His companions asked who would replace them and he pointed to Salman and said that he and his people would be the ones to do so. This hadith teaches us that we should always stay on Allah's path as it is our duty as Muslims to do so, otherwise we will be replaced by others who are more devoted than us. It also shows us how important it is for us to have faith in Allah's plan for our lives as He knows what is best for us even when we don't understand why something has happened or why something hasn't happened yet. We must trust in Him no matter what happens because He knows what is best for us in this life and in the hereafter.
