Jami at-Tirmidhi 2592 (Book 39, Hadith 20) #28227
The Fire's Complaint to Allah

SUMMARY: The Fire complained to Allah and was allowed to take two breaths, one in the winter and one in the summer.

Abu Hurairah narrated: that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: "The Fire complained to its Lord. It said: 'Some parts of me consume other parts'. So He allowed it to take two breaths: one during the winter, and during the summer. As for the breath in the winter then it is Zamharir, and as for the breath in the summer then it is Haruur. Other chains report similar narrations.

QUICK LESSONS:
Obey God's commands and be thankful for His mercy.
EXPLANATIONS:
According to this hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah, the fire complained to its Lord that some parts of it were consuming other parts. In response, Allah allowed it two breaths; one during the winter and another during the summer. The breath taken during winter is called Zamharir while that taken during summer is called Haruur. This hadith teaches us about how powerful Allah is as He can even answer a complaint from fire! It also shows us how merciful He is as He granted a solution for its problem instead of punishing it.
