Sahih al-Bukhari 2857 (Book 56, Hadith 73) #2733
The Fast Horse of the Prophet (ﷺ)

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) borrowed a horse from Anas bin Malik and found it to be very fast.

Narrated Anas bin Malik: Once there was a feeling of fright in Medina, so the Prophet borrowed a horse belonging to us called Mandub (and he rode away on it). (When the Prophet returned) he said, "I have not seen anything of fright and I found it (ie this horse) very fast".

QUICK LESSONS:
Treat animals with kindness and respect them for their abilities .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's experience with a horse called Mandub. During a time of fear in Medina, the Prophet borrowed this horse from Anas bin Malik and rode away on it. When he returned he said that he had not seen anything of fright and that he found the horse to be very fast. This hadith teaches us that even during times of fear or distress we should remain calm and trust in Allah's protection. It also shows us how much respect the Prophet had for animals as he praised this horse for its speed after riding it. We can learn from this example to always treat animals with kindness and respect them for their abilities.
