Prohibiting Branding and Striking on the Face

SUMMARY: The Prophet prohibited branding on the face and striking it.

Narrated Jabir: "The Prophet prohibited branding on the face and striking (it)". Abu 'Eisa said: This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ نَهَى عَنِ الْوَسْمِ فِي الْوَجْهِ وَالضَّرْبِ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ
