The Prophet's Fast Horse

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad borrowed a horse from Anas bin Malik and found it to be very fast.

Narrated Anas bin Malik: "There was a cause of fright in Al-Madinah. So the Messenger of Allah borrowed a horse of ours called Mandub. He said: 'I have not seen anything to be frightened of, and we found him to be (quick) like the sea'." Abu 'Eisa said: This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، وَابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ كَانَ فَزَعٌ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَاسْتَعَارَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ فَرَسًا لَنَا يُقَالُ لَهُ مَنْدُوبٌ فَقَالَ ‏ "‏ مَا رَأَيْنَا مِنْ فَزَعٍ وَإِنْ وَجَدْنَاهُ لَبَحْرًا ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the time when the Messenger of Allah borrowed a horse from his companion, Anas bin Malik. The horse was called Mandub and was known for its speed. When the Messenger of Allah rode it he said that he had not seen anything to be frightened of and that the horse was as fast as the sea. This hadith teaches us that we should always trust in Allah and have faith in Him even when we are faced with difficult situations or fear. It also shows us how important it is to take care of our animals and treat them kindly so they can perform their best for us. We should also remember that no matter what situation we are in, if we put our trust in Allah He will help us through it.
