He said: 'Then it is for them that you should perform Jihad'." Abu 'Eisa said: There is something on this topic from Ibn 'Abbas. This Hadith is Hasan Sahih. (One of the narrators) Abul-Abbas is the blind (Al-A'ma) poet (Ash-Sha'ir), from Makkah, and his name is As-Sa'ab bin Farrukh.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the duty of jihad and taking care of one's parents. It is narrated by Abdullah bin Umar and Ibn Abbas that a man came to Prophet Muhammad seeking permission to go for jihad. The Prophet asked him if he had any living parents, to which the man replied yes. The Prophet then said that it was for them that he should perform jihad instead. This hadith teaches us that our duty towards our parents is more important than going out for physical jihad, as taking care of them is also an act of worship in itself. We must remember to always prioritize our duties towards our family members before anything else, as this will bring us closer to Allah’s pleasure.
