Jami at-Tirmidhi 1274 (Book 14, Hadith 76) #26849
Studding Stallions for Honorarium

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) prohibited the practice of studding a stallion, but allowed it if done for honorarium.

Narrated Anas bin Malik: "A man from (the tribe of) Kilab asked the Messenger of Allah about studding a stallion and he prohibited it. So he said: 'O Messenger of Allah! We stud the stallions so that we get honorarium (from the owners of the female horse)!' So he permitted it for honorarium". Abu 'Eisa said: This Hadith is Hasan Gharib, we do not know of it except as a narration of Ibrahim bin Humaid, from Hisham bin 'Urwah.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's teachings on studding a stallion. He initially prohibited it but then allowed it if done in exchange for an honorarium. This teaches us that we should not do something wrong just because we are getting something out of it; instead, we should focus on doing what is right and ethical even if there is no reward or benefit to us. We should also be mindful of our actions and think carefully before making decisions as they can have long-term consequences. Additionally, this hadith shows us that the Prophet was willing to listen to people's opinions and consider their circumstances before making a decision; he was always fair and just in his rulings.
