Hoping in Allah & Fearing Sins

SUMMARY: The Prophet (PBUH) visited a young man who was dying and told him that if he hopes in Allah and fears his sins, Allah will grant him what he hopes for and protect him from what he fears.

Thabit narrated from Anas, that: The Prophet entered upon a young man while he was dying. So he said: "How do you feel?" He said: "By Allah! O Messenger of Allah! Indeed I hope in Allah and I fear from my sins". So the Messenger of Allah said: "These two will not be gathered in a worshipper's heart at a time such as this, except that Allah will grant him what he hopes and make him safe from what he fears".

QUICK LESSONS:
Have faith in God no matter the situation we are facing , Repent sincerely with true faith .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of having faith in Allah and fearing one's sins. The Prophet Muhammad PBUH visited a young man who was dying, and asked how he felt. The young man replied that he hoped in Allah but feared his sins. In response, the Prophet PBUH said that these two qualities should not be found together in a worshipper's heart at such a time except that Allah will grant them what they hope for and protect them from what they fear. This hadith teaches us to always have faith in God no matter the situation we are facing, as well as to fear our sins so we can stay away from them. It also shows us how merciful God is; even when someone has committed wrongdoings, He still grants them their wishes if they repent sincerely with true faith in Him.
