Jami at-Tirmidhi 214 (Book 2, Hadith 66) #25779
Atonement Through Prayers

SUMMARY: The five daily prayers and the Friday prayer are a means of atonement for minor sins committed in between them, as long as major sins have not been committed.

Abu Hurairah narrated that : Allah's Messenger said: "The five prayers, and Al-Jumuah (the Friday prayer) to Al-Jumuah are atonement for what is between them, as long as the major sins have not been committed".

QUICK LESSONS:
Pray regularly and strive towards righteousness

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of prayer in Islam. It teaches us that if we pray regularly, it can be a form of atonement for minor sins that we may have committed in between our prayers. However, this does not apply to major sins such as murder or theft. Therefore, it is important to remember that while prayer can help us repent for our mistakes, it cannot replace taking responsibility and making amends for any wrongdoings we may have done. Additionally, this hadith also serves as a reminder to Muslims to stay away from committing major sins and strive towards righteousness instead.
