QUICK LESSONS:
Be honest in all your dealings with others even if it means sacrificing some potential profits or gains .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the punishment for taking false oaths in order to gain a little profit. It was narrated by 'Abdullah bin Abu 'Aufa, and it is based on the Quranic verse 3:77 which states that those who purchase a little gain at the cost of Allah's covenant and their oaths will get painful punishment. Taking false oaths is considered as an act of treachery and deceit, and it goes against the teachings of Islam. Therefore, Allah has warned us against taking such actions as they can lead to severe consequences. We should always strive to be honest in our dealings with others, even if it means sacrificing some potential profits or gains. Doing so will ensure that we are rewarded by Allah instead of being punished for our dishonesty.
