QUICK LESSONS:
Show mercy towards all living things ; Respect for life ; Compassion for animals ; Kindness towards small creatures
EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us to be kind and merciful even to small creatures. He prohibited the killing of four specific creatures - ants, bees, hoopoes and sparrow-hawks. This hadith teaches us that we should not take life lightly as it is a great blessing from Allah SWT. We should show mercy even to small animals and insects as they are also part of Allah's creation. We should also remember that all living things have a right to live in this world just like us humans do.
