Sunan Abi Dawud 4882 (Book 43, Hadith 110) #25173
Respect for Fellow Muslims

SUMMARY: Muslims should respect each other and not do anything to harm or disrespect one another.

Abu Hurairah reported the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) as saying : Everything of a Muslim is sacred to a Muslim : his property, honour and blood. It is enough evil for any man to despise his brother Muslim.

QUICK LESSONS:
Treat your fellow muslims with kindness and respect regardless of any differences between you two .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of respecting fellow Muslims. It teaches us that everything belonging to a Muslim, such as their property, honour and blood, is sacred and should be respected by all other Muslims. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that it is enough evil for any man to despise his brother Muslim. This means that it is wrong to think badly of someone just because they are a different religion or have different beliefs than you do. We must always treat our fellow Muslims with kindness and respect no matter what our differences may be. We must also remember that Allah has given us all the same rights as human beings, so we should never take away anyone's right to live in peace and safety just because they are different from us in some way.
