Knowing What is Best for Others

SUMMARY: The Prophet (May peace be upon him) was asked about the offspring of polytheists and he replied that Allah knows best about what they were doing.

Ibn 'Abbas reported that when the Prophet (May peace be upon him) was questioned about the offspring of polytheists, he said : Allah knows best about what they were doing.
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ سُئِلَ عَنْ أَوْلاَدِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ فَقَالَ ‏ "‏ اللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا كَانُوا عَامِلِينَ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to the importance of knowing what is best for others, and leaving it up to Allah to decide. It teaches us that we should not judge or make assumptions about other people's lives, as only God knows what is truly in their hearts and minds. We should instead focus on our own actions and strive to do good deeds in order to please Him. This hadith also reminds us that no matter how much we think we know, ultimately it is only God who has the ultimate knowledge of all things.
