QUICK LESSONS:
Learn correctly , Stand firm on beliefs and values , Do not be influenced by what others may say or do if one knows something is wrong .
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith highlights the importance of reciting and reading the Quran as it was taught, rather than changing its words. 'Abd Allah b. Mas'ud was told that people were reading a verse differently from how he had been taught to read it. He responded by saying that he would continue to recite it in the way he had been taught, because that was dearer to him. This shows us how important it is for us to learn and recite the verses of the Quran correctly, without making any changes or alterations in them. It also teaches us not to be influenced by what others may say or do if we know something is wrong; instead we should stand firm on our beliefs and values even if others don’t agree with them.
