Make reasonable commitments/vows; keep your promises; understand your capacity before making any commitment/promise etc .

This hadith is about fulfilling vows made during the pilgrimage of Hajj. Uqbah ibn Amir consulted the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ about his sister who had taken a vow to perform hajj barefooted and bareheaded. The Prophet ﷺ advised him to command her to cover her head, ride a mount and fast for three days instead of fulfilling the vow as it was too difficult for her. This teaches us that we should not make vows that are too difficult or impossible for us to fulfill, as Allah does not burden any soul beyond its capacity. We should also be mindful of our words and think before making any promises or commitments that we may not be able to keep later on.
