QUICK LESSONS:
Respect for the dead; Mindfulness of prayer direction; Devotion to Allah alone; Directing prayers only towards Allah .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is narrated by Abu Marthad al-Ghanawi, in which the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ has prohibited us from sitting on graves and praying facing them. This hadith teaches us that we should respect the dead and not disturb their resting place. We should also be mindful of our prayer direction, as it must face towards the Ka'bah in Makkah. We should also remember that Allah alone is worthy of worship, so we must not direct our prayers towards any other object or person.

The Prophet ﷺ has taught us to be respectful of those who have passed away, as they are no longer able to defend themselves or respond to any disrespect shown towards them. He has also reminded us that Allah alone deserves our worship and devotion, so we must always direct our prayers towards Him only.
