Respect those who have passed away .

This hadith talks about the importance of respecting the dead and not accompanying their biers. It was narrated by Umm 'Atiyyah that they were forbidden to accompany the biers, but it was not stressed upon them. This means that although it is discouraged to accompany a bier, it is not mandatory and one can choose whether or not they want to do so. The main idea behind this hadith is that we should respect those who have passed away and show them dignity in death as well as life. We should also remember that our actions should be done out of love for Allah and His Messenger rather than out of obligation or compulsion.
