This hadith speaks about the importance of closeness between Muslims. It was narrated by Tamim ad-Dari who asked the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ what the sunnah is regarding a man who accepts Islam due to advice and persuasion from another Muslim. The Prophet ﷺ replied that he should be closest to him in life and death. This hadith teaches us that we should always strive for unity among fellow Muslims and support each other in times of need. We must also remember that our relationship with other believers will continue even after death as we will all meet again on the Day of Judgment.
