The Return of a Stolen Horse

SUMMARY: A horse belonging to Ibn 'Umar was taken by the enemy, but it was returned to him by Khalid bin Walid after the Prophet's intervention.

Nafi said that a horse of Ibn 'Umar went away and the enemy seized it. The Muslims overpowered them. Khalid bin Walid returned it to him after the Prophet .
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الأَنْبَارِيُّ، وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، - الْمَعْنَى - قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ ذَهَبَ فَرَسٌ لَهُ فَأَخَذَهَا الْعَدُوُّ فَظَهَرَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْمُسْلِمُونَ فَرُدَّ عَلَيْهِ فِي زَمَنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ‏.‏ وَأَبَقَ عَبْدٌ لَهُ فَلَحِقَ بِأَرْضِ الرُّومِ فَظَهَرَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْمُسْلِمُونَ فَرَدَّهُ عَلَيْهِ خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ بَعْدَ النَّبِيِّ

This hadith speaks about the importance of justice and fairness in society. It tells us that if something is stolen, it should be returned to its rightful owner. In this case, Ibn 'Umar's horse was taken away by the enemy but with the help of Khalid bin Walid and Prophet Muhammad's intervention, it was returned back to him. This shows us that we should always strive for justice and fairness in our dealings with others and not take advantage of them or their possessions. We should also remember that Allah rewards those who do good deeds such as returning what has been stolen or lost back to its rightful owner.
